Craig Robins, the Owner of Windsor & Lowe, has worked for over 10 years within the Antiques Trade. Craig trained as a Conservator and Restorer of Antique Furniture and has undertaken work for museums and galleries, as well as working with Antique Dealers and Private Clients. This source of this work has brought Craig into contact with some very important antique pieces, therefore developing a good eye for detail and technical excellence.
Craig has now devoted his time to finding extra special pieces both in the U.K. and abroad that work within a contemporary environment where the “modern” can integrate and comfortably sit next to the “antique”. One section within this website titled ‘The Decorator’s Wish List©’ enables the viewer to specify their exact requirements if there is not a suitable piece within the website’s stock. These requests will be noted and logged to try and source the correct piece for its scale, style, period and condition.
Craig enjoys finding honest and uncomplicated pieces that give its Owner a glimpse into the past. He has always enjoyed the touch and feel of an object and takes pleasure in the challenge of trying to decipher its history.
Through Craig’s extensive practical knowledge, he has put together a selection of Windsor & Lowe designs, some of which he himself has personally made. These designs have been collated whilst on his travels or from past classic designs. The collection, some of which are quite modern in their feel, compliments his antique stock.
